KATHUA, May 7: To listen the grievances of the people of far flung areas MLA, Bani, Jewan Lal conducted extensive tour of Leundi,Halla, Mandrera and adjoining areas.
He inaugurated Sub-center at Leundi which were among the long pending demands of the inhabitants.
The MLA addressed large gathering at Leundi and Mandrera where people from adjoining areas apprised him about various problems faced by them.
In his address Lalhal said the Government is steadfast on commitments and promises made to people and is working on the agenda of good governance besides providing basic facilities to the people.
“Our Government is working to reduce the miseries of common man and in this regard various welfare schemes have been initiated to lessen the miseries of common man and ensure all over development of neglected areas,” he added .
Lalhal said under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Jammu and Kashmir is moving towards an era of peace and prosperity and many mega developmental projects as well as social welfare schemes have been launched, adding that the initiatives have started yielding results and people are now getting benefit of these schemes.
M.L.A stressed for maintaining peace and termed it as a prerequisite for all round development. He said peace and prosperity are two sides of the same coin and its impact will go to long way to usher new era of development in the region.
He reviewed the pace of ongoing developmental works and also took stock of the grievances of the people.
Lalhal directed the concerned departments to redress problems of the people on priority and asked the field functionaries to create awareness among public about various schemes of their departments so that people from far flung areas can take benefits of these welfare programmes.
On the occasion, he announced Rs 15 lakh from C.D.F for construction of culverts, lanes, tractor road and fencing of school ground.
