MLA announces Critical Care Ambulance for CHC Katra

Jammu, Jan 12: Baldev Raj Sharma, MLA, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Constituency, and Chairman of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) of Community Health Centre (CHC), Katra, chaired an important meeting of the RKS at CSC Katra today.
During the meeting, several key developmental issues and improvement measures related to the functioning of CSC/CHC Katra were discussed in detail with the objective of strengthening healthcare services and improving patient care for the general public.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Reasi, Dr. Ashraf Kohli; Block Medical Officer (BMO) Katra, Dr. Raspal; Private RKS Member Ambrish Maghotra, Ranjit Singh and Dr. KC Dogra and officers from various departments including the Municipal Committee Katra, Power Development Department (PDD), Public Health Engineering (PHE), Education Department, and Public Works Department (PWD).
On the occasion, Baldev Raj Sharma, in his capacity as Chairman of the RKS, announced the donation of a 24×7 Critical Care Ambulance for patients of CHC Katra from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) at an estimated cost of Rs 30 lakh. This facility will significantly strengthen emergency medical services and ensure timely and life-saving transportation for patients, especially in critical situations.
Further, the MLA accorded approval of Rs 26.39 lakh for various developmental works of CHC Katra, aimed at improving infrastructure, patient facilities, and overall healthcare delivery.
In addition, keeping in view the smooth functioning of the health institution, Sharma also approved the extension of duties of nine employees already working in CHC Katra for a further period of one year, ensuring continuity of services and better patient care.
Sharma reiterated his strong commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in the constituency and directed the concerned departments and health staff to ensure better coordination, cleanliness, availability of essential facilities, and prompt redressal of public grievances. He also appreciated the sincere efforts of the Chief Medical Officer, Reasi, and the Block Medical Officer, Katra, for efficiently managing and running CHC Katra in a commendable manner, resulting in improved healthcare services for the public.
