Mission Shakti organizes awareness camps

JAMMU, Oct 6: Mission Shakti (District Hub for Empowerment of Women), along with Social Welfare Department, here, organized awareness and outreach camps in villages Makwal, Dhanger and Barnai.
The camps were held under the supervision of DSWO Jammu, Nawaz Sharief and District Mission Coordinator, Mission Shakti, Shagun Manchanda to reach women and communities at the grassroots level to spread awareness about Government schemes, legal rights, financial literacy, health and nutrition, education, and livelihood opportunities.
During the camps, officials from Mission Shakti Jammu, Sunil Choudhary, Financial Literacy Specialist, and Sonali Rana, Gender Specialist interacted with beneficiaries and addressed queries and provided guidance on accessing the benefits of schemes like PMEGP, Tejaswini, Mumkin, PMMVY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and other social security and livelihood initiatives.
The camps also served as a platform for rural women to share their success stories, inspiring others to join the journey toward self-reliance and empowerment.
Speaking on the occasion, District Mission Coordinator, Mission Shakti, emphasized that Mission Shakti DHEW Jammu is committed to build a robust support system for women through awareness, capacity building and facilitation of government services.
