UDHAMPUR, July 30: A 20-year young woman, missing for the last around two months, was today found dead in Tawi river near Karsund, under the jurisdiction of Chenani Police Station.
According to the reports, decomposed body of Noor Banu (20), wife of Nazir Hussain of Barkunda Sudhmahadev, was spotted in Tawi river near Karsund in Chenani area, by some locals, who informed the police.
Family members of the deceased told the Police that she was missing since June 7 after she had gone for attending a call of nature. She might have slipped from the height an fell in deep gorge resulting into her death, Police sources said .
However, a case under 174 CrPC has been registered in this connection for further investigation while body of the deceased was handed over to her family members after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem.
