JAMMU, Apr 23: Sarwal police reunited a missing minor boy with his father.
According to SDPO West Amit Sharma, information was received through Police Control Room Jammu that one child aged about 7 years is wandering in the streets of Friends Sector Subhash Nagar.
Acting in the information, a team from Police Post Sarwal led by Inspector Vishav Partap Singh rushed towards the area and enquired from child about his whereabouts, SDPO said, adding that the child disclosed his name as Goutam Paswan and told that he is an orphan and living in the streets of Subash Nagar for the last one year.
The statement of the child created suspicion and the search to trace out his parents started, SDPO said, adding that after hectic efforts by police party, his parents were traced and the child was handed over to his father namely Ganpat Paswan.
