JAMMU, Apr 21: In a significant breakthrough, Jammu Police have successfully recovered a minor boy who had been missing for over three years. The boy was traced to Ludhiana, Punjab, in connection with a kidnapping case registered back in 2022 at Police Station Trikuta Nagar.
The case came to light on March 6, 2022, when an FIR Number 70/2022 under Section 363 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was lodged following a complaint by the boy’s father. The complainant, originally from Poonch and currently residing in Channi Rama, reported that his 15-year-old son had mysteriously gone missing.
Following sustained and dedicated efforts over an extended period, a joint police team led by Incharge Police Post Narwal and SHO Trikuta Nagar, working under the close supervision of SDPO East and SP South, succeeded in tracing the missing minor to Ludhiana.
After fulfilling all legal and procedural formalities, the child was safely recovered and reunited with his family, marking a major success for the Jammu Police in solving a prolonged missing person case.
