SAMBA, Dec 30: A missing minor girl was recovered and her kidnapper arrested by the police within 24 hours in Samba district.
A police official said that a complaint was registered at Police Post SIDCO by the father of the missing girl, a resident of district Jammu at present SIDCO Phase-I, Samba, stating therein that his 16-year-old daughter had gone missing from her home.
On receiving the complaint, a team of Police Post SIDCO under the supervision of SHO Samba recovered the missing girl with the help of human and technical intelligence and arrested her kidnapper identified as Mohit of Chack Manga Rakwal, district Samba, within 24 hours, he said.
After being produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Samba, the minor girl was handed over to her legal heirs after completing the legal formalities, the police official said.
