JAMMU, June 2: Police today retrieved the body of a missing man from canal in Belicharana area here.
Body of Raman Sharma (47) of Bakshi Nagar, who went missing after delivering tiffin to his son at his school on May 30, and was last seen outside Pawan Fruit Ice Cream, was recovered from the canal at Belicharana area, a police official said.
He said after post-mortem at the Government Medical College Jammu, the body was handed over to its legal heirs for performing the last rites.
Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceedings to further investigate into the matter.
