Missing lady remains untraced, people stage candle light protest

RAMBAN, Oct 11: A peaceful candle-march protest was today staged by the people at Saraz area here demanding justice for Salesha Devi, a mother of four who was missing for the last over a month.
The protesters demanded that the Police should expedite efforts to locate the missing lady who went missing on September 4.
They said that the protest shall be intensified if the lady remained untraced.
As per Police sources, on September 17, 2024, a written complaint was lodged by Simlu Devi, wife of Late Choor Singh, resident of Jatt Galli, Rajgarh claiming that her daughter-in-law, Salesha Devi, wife of Jeevan Singh was missing from her house from September 4, 2024.
After registering the complaint the cops flashed message to NCRB New Delhi and to all the Police Stations requesting to have a sharp look in their respective jurisdictions.
A lookout notice was also circulated by the Police in this regard.
Sources informed that on September 4, Salesha informed her children that her husband has asked her to reach Chanderkote and she left, after which her whereabouts were not known.
SSP Ramban, Kulbeer Singh said that efforts were on to trace out missing women.
He also said that three Police teams have been constituted to trace out the missing woman.
