JAMMU, Sept 7: In broad day light, two unidentified miscreants riding on a motorbike today overpowered an old woman and snatched her gold chain in Barnai area, falling under the jurisdiction of Domana police station.
The victim has been identified as Rajni Koul, wife of Sohan Koul, a resident of Mahajan Mohallah, Barnai.
Reports said that Rajni was heading towards her home, when two unidentified youth snatched gold chain from her neck. The lady also received some injuries, when the miscreants were snatching her chain.
After snatching, the duo managed to escape from the spot riding a motorcycle without any resistance as there was no police presence in the area.
Later, she lodged a complaint and a case under relevant Sections has been registered at Domana police station and manhunt was launched to nab the chain snatchers.
