RAJOURI, Apr 13: Private School Association (PSA) held a convention in which heads of umpteen private schools of Rajouri, Kalakote, Nowshera, Thannamandi, Sunderbani, Darhal and Koteranka participated.
The meeting was chaired by Kamal Gupta, President, Private School Association Jammu Province who was accompanied by Ajay Gupta, State Coordinator, Private School Association, Sameer Saproo, Secretary Bhartiya Shiksha Samithi and Vaneet Gupta, incharge Udhampur Unit.
The speakers in the meeting lamented on the chaos and confusion created by some ignorant and mischievous elements, who tried to befool the administration and parents regarding the annual maintenance charges.
The association clarified that no institution is charging admission from an internal student however the annual maintenance charges which is the right of the institution and is a practice for decades together across the country and J&K or Rajouri district is not an exception to it. No mid term hike has been done by the institution in the fee structure, they added.
They informed that no institution is selling the books and uniform from the school premises and parents are free to take the same from the open market.
In addition to this the association also made it clear that the transport facility is provided on the request of the parents and is purely optional.
The association appealed the parents not to pay any heed to the rumors, false and misleading news items and hoped they will continue to repose full faith in the integrity, commitment and in-valuable contribution of the private educational institutions which have been providing quality education and have enabled the students of this remote hilly border belt to shine at State, National and even International level in various fields.
The prominent academicians and social activists present on the occasion included KK Langer, President, Private School Association district Rajouri, Shafi Wani, Khurshid Bismil, Nisar Rahi, Farooq Muztar, Shafi Dar, Sajjad Tariq, Haji Abdul Rashid Bhat, Prthvi Khokar, Abdul Qayoom Naik, Lokesh Bakshi and Kanav Badyal.
