JAMMU, Jan 30: Police today arrested a youth for raping a minor girl of village Ghurha Pattan, Kanachak inside a cave at Kangar Morh in Gharota area twice.
SDPO Domana Sandeep Mehta identified the rape accused as Vivek Khajuria son of Pappu Khajuria, a resident of Gurha Pattan.
He said Vivek had kidnapped a 17 years old girl of Gurha Pattan and taken her to a cave at Kangar Morh where she was raped twice.
The girl and her family members lodged a complaint with Kanachak police station last night after which she was taken for medical examination.
The girl was minor, Mr Mehta said, adding that Kanachak police teams conducted raids at different places and arrested the accused.
The rape accused has been charged with rape and kidnapping. A case against him has been registered at Kanachak police station for further investigations.
