MENDHAR, Mar 5: A minor girl was seriously injured after she was hit by a car of former Sarpanch in the town here this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that Pulse car of former Sarpanch Showkat Choudhary from Salwah, hit a minor girl namely Indira (7), daughter of Sohan Lal from Madhya Pradesh, presently residing at Mendhar. Her father Sohan Lal works as labourer in the town. The girl was removed to hospital with multiple injuries. Her leg was also got fracture. The girl was later referred to District Hospital Rajouri. The police has taken cognizance of the matter. The car driver left after leaving the girl at hospital.
