Minor girl among 2 killed, 10 injured in accidents

SRINAGAR, Jan 10: Two persons, including a minor girl, were killed and 10 others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said a 55-year-old woman was killed and nine passengers were injured when a passenger bus, bearing registration number JK01D 3725, on way from Srinagar to Magam, turned upside down at Kawoosa in district, Budgam.
All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Magam for treatment where the injured woman, Raja Begum wife of Mohammad Akbar Ganie of Agri Kalan, Budgam, succumbed to her injuries.
A minor girl was hit by an Eco car, bearing registration number JK05C 2735, in which Tabish, 2, daughter of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Reshi of Hardshiva, near police station Sopore, the spokesman said.
The injured baby was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Sopore for treatment, but she succumbed to her injuries.
A Santro car, bearing registration number JK05D 3620, driven by Mohammad Shafi Mir son of Abdul Ahad of Zaloora, Sopore, slipped over the snow and rammed into an electric pole near Saide Kadal Bazar, Srinagar, resulting in injuries to driver and another person traveling in the car.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
