SRINAGAR, Sept 28: A minor died while two others have been hospitalized due to food poisoning in Prungroo village of North Kashmir district Kupwara.
Officials said that three minors complained of stomach ache, experienced vomiting and diarrhoea late Monday night, while they were hospitalized, one among them died soon after showing the symptoms.
They also said that the two others who were also admitted for further treatment are currently being treated and monitored at a nearby hospital where they are said to be stable.
The doctors are saying that they believe that it is a classic case of food poisoning and to ascertain the facts, a team of experts has been dispatched to the area.
The Block Health Officials said that have constituted a team that is on the spot getting to details of what led to the incident. The samples of food which the minors consumed have also been taken for necessary checks. The deceased has been identified as Mehfooza, D/O Mohd Akber Lone, resident of Mawer Bala.
The doctors have advised people that in case they experience similar symptoms, they should immediately report to the nearby health centres.
