DODA, Dec 10: On the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Metha, a drive to curb the visible traffic violations was started in Doda and today during motor vehicle checking in Bhaderwah, a minibus of Matadoor make bearing registration number JK08B-3165 was found overloaded by 14 passengers against the seating capacity and was seized on the spot.
The Matadoor was driven Sahil Aryan, son of Ram Prashad, resident of Misrata Bhalra, in a rash and negligent manner endangering the lives of passengers. A case in FIR No. 179/2024 Under Sections 281, 125 BNS, 194(1) MV Act was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah in this regard and investigation started.
SSP Doda has warned the drivers to desist from violation of traffic rules else stringent action will be taken against the erring drivers which include suspension of driving license, route permit besides registration of FIRs.
