NEW DELHI, Nov 5: A ten-member team of Military Nursing Service (MNS) officers who recently commemorated the 100 years of MNS by undertaking a Scuba Diving Expedition was flagged in and felicitated by Surgical Commodore Prashant Panda, CSO (Med) and Brigadier Kiron Jeet, Brig MNS (P&T), here today.
In the expedition which was part of the Centenary Celebrations, was flagged off on October 21. The team unfurled the national flag, underwater to mark the occasion. In a statement issued here, the defence spokesperson said that the team led by Lt Col Rashmi Sharma, and Lt Col Dapple D Wankhar portrayed immense bravado and resilience by having an underwater flag unfurling keeping the spirit of patriotism and MNS high.
The expedition does not just leave memories, but the message of Aquacentum: A Century of Boundless Courage and Resilience, Navigating into the Depths, the statement read further.
