Militants attack Army patrolling party in south Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Militants on Monday evening attacked an Army patrolling party in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.

Official sources said that unidentified militants fired at an Army patrolling party in village Pinglish, Tral in Pulwama. They added the soldiers retaliated, ensuing in a brief exchange of fire.

“The militants later managed to escape from the spot,” they said, adding no one was injured in the attack. Additional security forces have been rushed and a search operation has been launched in the area to nab the attackers. (AGENCIES)
