JAMMU, Apr 8: A general body meeting of the inmates of the migrant camps of Muthi Camp, Buta Nagar Camp, Purkhoo Camp, Nagrota Camp and Jagti Camp was held at Muthi Phase Second in which grave concern was expressed over the Government decision to enforce electricity agreements on Kashmiri migrants putting up in camps.
The meeting, which was held under the leadership of T N Kaul and Shadi Lal Pandita said that the migrants will not pay the power tariff till their land is restored to them and other losses suffered by them on account of property be compensated.
The meeting alleged that Government was trying to harass and intimidate the camp inmates and warned that if this harassment continues the community will be forced to come to streets and take any drastic step for which the Government will be responsible.
