JAMMU, Nov 5: Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) shone at Minerva 2014, the 2nd ISTE Regional Convention and the 9th National Technical Symposium, hosted by Rayat and Bahra Group of Institutions Ropar (Punjab) Campus for the Colleges of Northern India.
The theme of the Symposium was ‘Social Responsibility of Technical Students-Empowering and Enriching Humanity ’. Over 1000 students from more than 50 Colleges of Northern India participated in over 20 events.
The students of MIET, Jammu bagged the trophy of ‘Overall Best College’ in the event by winning 10 different Techno-Literary events with highest number of participants. Besides this, two students namely Shruti Khajuria and Pankaj Saini of MIET were awarded ‘Best Student Award for the year 2014’ by the Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE).
The trophy of Best College Award was presented by the chief guest, Madan Mohan Mittal, Minister of Industry and Technical Education and Industrial Training Punjab.
