MHA shuffles 49 IAS, IPS officers; 7 moved out of J&K, 9 posted in UT

3 officers transferred from Ladakh, two posted back

JAMMU, Jan 4: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has ordered a major reshuffle of All India Services, transferring a total of 49 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across the country.

Among those shuffled, 7 officers-including 5 IAS and 2 IPS-have been transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir to different States and Union Territories, while 9 officers-including 6 IAS and 3 IPS-have been posted back in the Union Territory.
Similarly, two IAS officers have been transferred out of the Union Territory of Ladakh and as many have been posted back in the region. One IPS officer has also been moved out of Ladakh.
As per an order, among the IAS officers transferred from Jammu and Kashmir are 1998 batch AGMUT cadre officer Santosh D Vaidya, who is currently posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, with additional charge of the post of Chairman and Managing Director, JKIDFC, 2010 batch AGMUT cadre officer Niraj Kumar, who is currently holding the charge of Administrative Secretary, Public Grievances Department, with Additional charge of the post of Administrative Secretary, Hospitality & Protocol Department, and 2012 batch AGMUT cadre officer Syed Abid Rashid Shah, currently serving as Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education Department.
Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary, the 2015 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, currently posted as Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K, and 2016 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Saloni Rai, currently serving as DC Udhampur, are among the other IAS officers transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir.
While Santosh D Vaidya, Neeraj Kumar, and Saloni Rai have been posted in Delhi, Syed Abid Rashid Shah has been posted in Chandigarh and Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary has been posted in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Among those posted back in the region are 1992 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Ashwani Kumar, currently posted in Delhi, 2005 batch AGUT cadre IAS officer R Alice Yadav, also serving in Delhi, and 2013 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Anjali Sehrawat, who is also posted in Delhi.
Similarly, Sagar D Dattatray, the 2014 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, currently posted in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, 2016 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Akriti Sagar, currently serving in Arunachal Pradesh, and 2016 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Kumar Abhishek, presently serving in Delhi, are the other IAS officers posted back in Jammu and Kashmir.
Among those two IPS officers who have been transferred out of J&K are 2014 batch AGMUT cadre officer Rajinder Kumar Gupta, who is currently posted as Additional Director, Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur, and 2015 batch AGMUT cadre officer Shobhit D Saksena, who is currently posted as SSP Security J&K.
While Rajinder Kumar Gupta has been posted in Puducherry, Shobhit D Saxena has been posted in Delhi.
Prashant Priya Gautam, the 2013 batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, currently posted in Delhi, 2016 batch AGMUT cadre officer Sudhanshu Dhama, presently serving in Arunachal Pradesh, and 2015 batch AGMUT cadre officer Niharika Bhatt, currently posted in Andaman & Nicobar, are among those officers who have been posted back in the region.
Similarly, the two IAS officers who have been moved out of Ladakh are 1994 batch AGMUT cadre officer Sanjeev Khirwar, who is currently posted as Principal Secretary Health, Labour, Medical Education, Employment, Forests and Science & Technology, Ladakh, and 2015 batch AGMUT cadre officer Michael M DSouza, who is currently posted as Administrative Secretary, General Administration Department and Public Works (Road & Building) Department, UT of Ladakh.
While Sanjeev Khirwar has been posted in Delhi, Michal M DSouza has been posted in Goa.
Similarly, the two IAS officers posted back in Ladakh are 2004 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Shurbir Singh, who is currently posted in Delhi and 2015 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, who is currently posted in UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
The only IPS officer moving out of Ladakh is 2018 batch AGMUT cadre officer Shruti Arora, who has been posted in Goa.
