JAMMU, Nov 14: The MGNREGA Engineers Association, Jammu province, has announced that its members will resume duties from tomorrow.
The decision comes after the suspension of the then SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, who was placed under inquiry – a key demand raised during the Association’s recent protest.
The engineers had earlier stopped work in solidarity with the Block Development Officer involved in the reported incident and to oppose what they termed as alleged high-handedness.
With duties now set to restart, the Association has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring timely and efficient implementation of MGNREGA schemes and other developmental works under the Rural Development Department.
