JAMMU, May 27: Maha Ganesh Asthapan Committee (MGAC) Brantal, Sirru, Pattan and Baramulla organized a Maha Yagya under the religious and spiritual guidance of Pt Sanjay Raina here today at Durga Mandir, Durga Nagar.
The Yagya began with ‘Kailsh Pooja’ and first ‘Suhakar’ in the evening yesterday and culminated after completion of five ‘Suhakars’ followed by ‘Puran Aahuti’ and ‘Bhog’ at 1:30 pm.
Hundreds of devotees from all walks of life, especially the members of ‘Sirru Biradari’ and daughters of Sirru from Jammu and other parts of the country attended the Yagya.
‘Bhajans’ and ‘Kirtans’ were recited during the day.
A book on religious poetry namely ‘Prem Rass’ by Late Gopi Nath Pandita (Gopi), a spiritual saint, hit the stalls.
Chhabeels were arranged by the organizers.
The Yagya was organized under the overall supervision of the executive body of MGAC Brantal including Pyaray Lal Pandita, Hriday Nath Bhat, Rattan Lal Dhar, Bhushan Lal Koul, president, Sohan Bhat, Dr Ravinder Pandita, Veer Koul, Pawan Pandita, Rupesh Koul, Kiran Koul, Rattan Pandita, Rajinder Kaul, M.K Zitshi, Chand Ji, Dilip Bhat, Beta Bhat, Satish Bhat, Raju Pandita, Rajoo Dhar and Rajesh Dhar.
Hundreds of devotees attended the Yagya.
