SAMBA, July 30: A 22-year-old MES worker allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope inside an Army Camp in Badi Brahmna area of Samba district.
The deceased who was posted at Military Engineer Services (MES) Power Station, had apparently committed suicide during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
After receiving information SHO Badi Brahmana and other officials reached the spot and kept the dead body in custody. The dead body was handed over to the family members for last rites after post mortem by doctors in GMC Jammu.
The deceased was identified as 22 yrs old Sunil Kumar, son of Ved Parkash of Batala, district Gurdaspur Punjab. In this regard police have started investigation after registering a case.
