NEW DELHI, Feb 4: Mentha oil prices fell 0.91 per cent to Rs 1,279 per kg today in futures trade today on reduced offtake by speculators amid profit-booking.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in February fell by Rs 11.80, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 1,279 per kg, with a business volume of 1,008 lots.
Similarly, mentha for delivery in March traded Rs 9.30, or 0.74 per cent, lower at Rs 1,239 per kg, with a trading volume of 186 lots.
Traders said the fall in mentha prices at futures was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators at higher levels amid a subdued domestic demand. (PTI)
