NEW DELHI, July 15: Mentha oil futures prices today drifted by Rs 6.70 to Rs 937.50 per kg as speculators locked- in gains at prevailing levels amid slackened spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July declined by Rs 6.70, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 937.50 per kg in business turnover of 356 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in the August traded lower by Rs 6.70, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 950.40 per kg in 59 lots.
The fall in mentha futures prices was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators after recent gains and sluggish demand in spot markets from pharmaceutical units, analysts said. (PTI)
