JAMMU : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today said PDP president Mehbooba Mufti taking over as next Chief Minister is a part of democratic set up. “Coming of Mehbooba Mufti as Chief Minister is a part of democracy, but it is the party to decide,” Mr Sayeed told reporters here this morning at a press conference.
He also added that Ms Mufti has done good job during elections and it is due to her efforts that PDP got good numbers.
“She is in constant touch with people of the state and it is due to her deliberations, PDP reposed faith among the people of Jammu region also,” he added.
Mr Sayeed said he remained busy with administration functioning but she (Mehbooba), had good liasoning with masses on ground. (UNI)
