SRINAGAR, Oct 22: President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti, has constituted the new Executive Committee of the Party, bringing together senior leaders, legislators, youth representatives, women functionaries, and grassroots-level office bearers from across the Union Territory.
The Executive Committee comprises Mehbooba Mufti, Sartaj Madni, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Haji Abdul Hameed Choudhary, Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura, Naeem Akhtar, Dr Mehboob Beg, Abdul Gaffar Sofi, Tasaduq Hussain, Asiea Naqash, Amreek Singh Reen, Abdul Haq Khan, Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Waheed Ur Rehman Paraa, Basharat Bukhari, Rafiq Ahmed Naikoo, Mir Fayaz Ahmed, Anjum Fazili, S Farooq A Andrabi, Zahoor Ahmed Mir, Imtiyaz Shan, M Rashid Qureshi, Khushid Iqbal, Firdous Tak, Mohd Yousuf Bhat, Shafeeq ur Rehman, Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Talib Choudhary, Sukhvinder Singh, Tazeeem Dar, Abdul Hameed Kosheen, Bashir Ahmed Mir, Peer Mansoor Suharwardi, Rajinder Singh Manhas, Satpal Singh Charak, Nazir Ahmed Dar, Abdul Majeed, R K Pardesi, Surjit Kour, Jalal Ud Din Shah, Sheikh Nasir, Dr Abbas Ahmed Wani, Syed Aga Muntazir Mehdi, Yasir Reshi, Kafil Ur Rehman and Gulzar Ahmed Wani.
The ex-officio members of the Executive Committee include Youth president J&K PDP Aditya Gupta, media adviser to Mehbooba Mufti Iltija Mufti, district president Anantnag Sheikh Javaid, district president Pulwama G M Mir Shahoori, district president Kulgam Zaffar Ullah Wani, district president Shopian Aijaz Ahmed Mir, district president Srinagar Ab Qayoom Bhat, district president Ganderbal Zahoor Ahmed Rather, district president Budgam Mohd Yaseen Bhat, district president Bandipora Syed Sajad Hussain, district president Baramulla Mohd Rafiq Rather and district president Kupwara Mohd Afzal Wani.
Others who form part of the ex-officio panel include district president Jammu urban Virender Singh Sonu, district president Jammu rural K K Sharma, district president Kathua urban Vishal Salgotra, district president Kathua rural Romesh Verma, district president Reasi Surinder Sharma, district president Ramban Alaf Hussain Lone, district president Rajouri Anjum Mirza, district president Poonch Shamim Ganai, district president Doda Mansoor Ahmed Bhat and district president Kishtwar Ishtiyaq Hussain Waza.
In addition, the district presidents of the Women’s wing include Sara Nayeema (Srinagar), Tabasum Hilal Khan (Budgam), Razia Hassan (Baramulla), Zaitoon Begum (Ganderbal), Summi Jan (Pulwama), Dr Mehnaza Bano (Doda), Rubina Rashid (Kupwara) and Parveena Khan (Kishtwar).
Other key appointments announced by the PDP president include Sunil Bhat as president of the Migrant wing, E Peter as chairman of the Christian wing, and Jamat Ali Shaheen as State secretary of the Pahari Cell. Najmu Saqib has been appointed vice president Youth, Mohit Bhan as general secretary (organization) Youth, and Shahnawaz, Syed Majid Shah as general secretaries Youth. Bashir Ahmed Beigh has been named media coordinator while Syed Tajamul Islam has been appointed social media incharge.
