*Praises Dr Jitendra for his qualities

UDHAMPUR, Sept 15: As a part of the public outreach programme launched by the Central Government for the Union Territory of J&K, Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture, Arjun Ram Meghwal today conducted an exhaustive public outreach programme at Udhampur.
The Union Minister inaugurated various developmental works and projects and also listened to the grievances of various delegations and assured prompt redressal of the demands of the people on priority basis.
The Union Minister laid foundation stone of various projects, released funds for financial assistance and scholarship of registered construction workers and also distributed Mamta kits under BBBP, Sports Kits under Khelo India, Sehat cards under Ayushmann Bharat Scheme, Soil health cards and KCC among the beneficiaries.
Meghwal reviewed the progress on ground about the various ongoing developmental projects and schemes in the district launched by the Government of India. The Union Minister also interacted with members of different delegations.
While addressing the gathering, the Union Minister expressed satisfaction over implementation of several Government schemes in the district. He said that road connectivity is the basic requirement for growth and development of an area and Central Government is working hard to establish a strong road network in the UT.
“Government is determined to provide enhanced basic facilities to people of the area at their doorsteps” he affirmed while emphasizing the need of strong coordination between the administration and the people for effective implementation of various welfare and development programmes.
Appreciating the natural landscape of the area, Meghwal stressed that efforts would be made to fully harness the tourism potential of the area. He added that every possible effort would be made to boost the pilgrimage tourism which will give rise to the influx of tourists thereby enhancing the economic activity in the area.
The Union Minister also lauded Minister of State in PMO and BJP MP from Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat Dr Jitendra Singh. Meghwal said that he is grateful to the people of Udhamur district for electing Dr Jitendra as their MP who is a man of beautiful personality. “Sometimes, I say that he is like a diamond,” the Minister added, saying Dr Jitendra always ready to give answer to the opposition leaders through his unique ‘shero-shayari’.
