JAMMU, Nov 17: A meeting of J&K Prant members of Saksham was held today at Kathua in which all the members of Prant team and district team participated.
The meeting began with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by Abhay Pargal Gupta, national joint secretary, Saksham; Swami Vishwanathan, RSS Pracharak and Incharge North India and O.D Attri, district president Saksham, Kathua.
Speaking in the meeting Swami Vishwanathan highlighted the achievements of Saksham and asked the workers to work with dedication for the welfare of physically challenged persons in J&K.
National joint secretary, Abhay Pargal stressed on the need for Saksham workers to tour twice a month in their respective areas and the Prant level Incharge, to whom the area have been allotted, may also accompany them and they should contact each physically challenged person to know their wellness and help them to make their Adhar Card, Ration Card, Disability Certificate, Railway Concession Certificate and also help them to provide employment in private sector.
In the end, Abhay Pargal after consultation with Swami Vishwanathan, announced O.D Attri, district president Kathua as Prant vice president Saksham J&K Prant; Sardari Singh, district general secretary Kathua was nominated as district president Kathua and Vaishno Datt, Yuva Ayam Pramukh Kathua was nominated as district general secretary of Saksham Kathua.
Prem Pal Singh, Prant treasurer, Satish Manhas, publicity secretary Prant, Sanjeev Vaid, Romesh Singh Bhau, Parshotam Singh, Prof Daya Vilas, Mohinder Singh, Mangal Singh, Mohan Mehra, Naresh Kumar, Nardev Singh, Suraj and others were also present in the meeting which concluded with vote of thanks by Sunil Singh, Prant secretary.
