JAMMU, Mar 25: In a proactive step towards enhancing public safety, Jammu Police here today organised a meeting with hoteliers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowabad.
The meeting was chaired by SP City North, Vivek Shekhar along with DySP Headquarters Jammu, Farha Nishat and SHO Nowabad, Deepak Pathania.
Others present in the meeting were members of Hotel Association and Shia Federation leader, Ashiq Hussain and prominent citizens of the area.
The discussions held to strengthening security measures, particularly in response to concerns over drug abuse and rising incidents of theft.
Law enforcement officials emphasized the critical role of hoteliers in maintaining vigilance and fostering a safe environment for residents and visitors alike.
A key focus of the meeting was the installation of CCTV cameras, which was highlighted as an essential tool in crime prevention and investigation.
Attendees were urged to report any suspicious activities to the Police without hesitation.
With an attendance of approximately 60 to 70 people, the meeting fostered a spirit of collaboration, ensuring that safety remains a collective priority.
