JAMMU, Feb 13: Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India has approved the appointment of J&K cadre IAS officer Shyam Vinod Meena as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Prof Sanwar Lal Jat at Under Secretary level for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post.
Deputy Secretary in the DoPT, J Srinivasan has requested the Chief Secretary of the State to relieve Mr Meena to take up his new assignment as PS to the Minister.
Mr Meena has worked as Deputy Commissioners of Ramban and Doda districts besides Additional Secretary in the Department of PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control.
