DODA, May 27: Bhaderwah police arrested two persons including a medical representative and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from their possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bhaderwah Police Station laid a naka near Kotli Bridge and arrested a person along with 37 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Sunil Singh, son of Kartar Singh, a resident of Bajarni, District Doda.
Meanwhile, a team from Bhaderwah Police Station arrested one more person along with 38 pouches of illicit liquor.
The arrested person has been identified as Zaffrullah, son of Abdul Rashid Beg of Puneja Bhaderwah. The accused was a medical representative by profession.
Cases under FIR Number 75/18 and 76/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bhaderwah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SI Zaheer from Police Station Bhaderwah made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Muneer Khan, SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
