JAMMU, June 22: A free medical camp was organized here today for the inmates of Home for Aged and Infirm, Ambphalla.
The camp was led by Dr. Parveen Yograj and he was assisted by Dr. R. Thappa, former CMO, GMCH Jammu.
Medical examination of all the inmates was done during the camp and they were provided necessary medicines free of cost.
Prior to this, a detailed body profile of each inmate was carried out. Additionally, a specialized dermatology camp was also held by a team from the Department of Dermatology, SMGS Hospital Jammu.
The team was headed by Dr. Masarat Jabeen and it included Dr. Kuldeep Lakhara, Dr. Basira Sultan, Dr. Zenab Khatoon and Faujiza Raffiq, who examined all the patients and provided them appropriate treatments and medication.
Active support during the camp was provided by psychology students from Women College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The interns—Shakshi Khajuria, Sohani Devi, Suhani Sharma, Divya Drishti, Amelia, Ashwariya, Aanya Khajuria, Jewchika Aron Issac, Satyam Tandon, Bhoomi Sharma and Khushi Sharma—enthusiastically assisted the inmates throughout the check-up process.
Members of the Home’s Committee, including Satpaul Sharma and Dr. Dinesh Gupta were also present during the camp.
