JAMMU, July 13: As part of its ‘Sanskrit Month’ celebrations, Shri Kailakh Jyotish evem Vedic Sansthan Trust, Raipur (Thather) here today organized a one-day free medical camp at the historic Shri Baba Jitto Devsthan in Jhiri temple complex.
A total of 355 patients were given health consultations, diagnostic services and free medicines at the camp where Ayurvedic plants were also distributed.
The camp was inaugurated by senior BJP leader and MLA, Sham Lal Sharma. Special guests present on the occasion were Mahant Jagdish Mehta of the temple and Trust president Mahant Rohit Shastri.
Stating that Sanskrit is the soul of our culture, MLA Sham Lal Sharma said that every person deserves good health and public awareness is essential for that.
Mahant Jagdish Mehta commended the Trust, stating that in rural areas, where many people are deprived of healthcare, such free camps prove extremely beneficial. The doctors who made the camp successful were Dr. Vishav Gupta, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Vinod Khajuria and Dr. Vidyupt Gupta.
Many distinguished persons present on the occasion were Rakesh Singh, Mannu Mehta, Bhuvanesh Mehta, Yogesh Mehta, Dil Bahadur Singh, former Sarpanch Sham Lal, former Sarpanch Dhanatar Singh, former Sarpanch Prem Chib, Hardatt Mehta, Pramod Sharma, Bhushan Singh, Sunil Singh Raipuria, Lucky Sharma, Kuldeep Singh and others.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mahant Rohit Shastri.
