RAJOURI, Oct 3: A Medical Board today conducted postmortem on the body of police constable who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Nowshera area last night.
Official sources said that Constable Shubam Choudhary, son of Abant Singh, resident of Nonial in Nowshera was presently posted in Poonch. His father was also in police and had died under similar circumstances. His son had got job in place of his father.
He was reportedly returning from Nowshera town to his native village Nonial late last evening. He was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the way.
The body was noticed by some passers-by during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday and they informed police. The police party led by SHO Arjun Magotra shifted it to the SDH Nowshera. The family members and relatives lodged protest over the suspicious death of young Shubam and fair inquiry and constitution of SIT. The district administration intervened and ordered constitution of Medical Board.
Today, a Medical Board under the supervision of BMO Nowshera conducted the post mortem. Nowshera police registered a case and launched investigation. The body after autopsy was handed over to the family for performing last rites.
