Medical allowance of pensioners

Sir,
It is a matter of satisfaction that the State Government has decided to regularise the contractual and casual employees working in various State Government departments. It is also hoped that State  Government will implement 7th Pay Commission recommendations for its employees and pensioners. While some States have gone ahead with implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations from this year, J&K Government has lagged behind in its implementation. Its implementation during this year  could have benefitted the State Government employees and pensioners.
It is hoped that in the coming Budget Session of State Legislature, Government will announce the date about the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations. It is also hoped that the Government after taking into account the rising prices and medical expenses will pay interim relief to employees and pensioners preferably @ 30 percent. Government should also bring all the pensioners under health insurance policy and enhance medical allowance to Rs 3000 per month in favour of employees and pensioners. Moreover, Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti and Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Draub are requested to release the Dearness Allowance in favour of State Government pensioners and employees which is pending from July 2017 and the arrears thereof be paid to pensioners at the earliest.
Yours etc…
