Medanta Jammu starts Super Speciality OPD of Pediatric Neurology

JAMMU, Dec 5: Keeping the interest of public demand, Medanta Jammu Centre will start one more Super Speciality OPD of Pediatric Neurology, wherein Dr Yeeshu Singh Soodan will deliver its services with effect from December 6, 2014 on 1st Saturday of every month.
Dr Yeeshu Singh is a Paediatric Neurologist expert at Medanta- The Medicity Gurgaon. He is among the few Paediatric Neurologists in India who have undergone advanced training in the management of Neuromuscular diseases, Genetic metabolic diseases, Movement disorders, Intellectual Disabilities / Developmental Delay, Traumatic and Environmental Brain Disorders, Leukodystrophies, Peroxisomal disorders, Disorders of cobalamin and folate metabolism.
Explaining the common emergent pediatric neurologic problems, Dr Yeeshu said although there are a variety of neurologic disease processes that the emergency physician should be aware of but the most common of these include seizures, closed head injury, headache, and syncope. When one is evaluating a patient who has had a seizure, differentiating between febrile seizures, afebrile seizures, and SE helps to determine the extent of the work-up.
Dr Yeeshu Singh has done his MD in Medicine and then fellowship in Pediatric Neurology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi –an institute of national importance with international standards especially in Paediatric Neurology.
