Measures in place for smooth ID celebrations: IG CRPF

Srinagar, Aug 10: Inspector General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Srinagar Sector, Ajay Kumar Yadav today said that comprehensive measures have been put in place for smooth conduct of Independence Day celebrations across Kashmir.
Yadav told reporters on the sidelines of a Medical Camp held by the force at Maisuma that special checkpoints have been strategically positioned in Srinagar and surrounding areas to maintain a peaceful environment.
“We are fully prepared to ensure a peaceful Independence Day on August 15th throughout Kashmir.”
The IG emphasized that a well-structured deployment strategy is in place, encompassing random inspections and other security measures.
“Fresh checkpoints have been established in various parts of the city and beyond. Our officers are actively monitoring the situation in the field. Regular night inspections and patrols are being conducted to preserve peace,” he added.
Yadav assured that the force is equipped to handle any challenges which may arise.
