JAMMU, Oct 16: Mission Director Poshan Kishori Lal Sharma, Joint Director Vinod Kumar Benhal and PO ICDS Jammu Pankaj Anand attended the closing ceremony of the three days training program of Anganwadi workers under the theme of “Poshan bhi Padhai bhi” organised by CDPO Dansal at Domel (Katra Road ) Dansal in collaboration with NIPCCD, Mohali.
CDPO Dansal Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, Master trainers, Supervisors, HNM and the Anganwadi workers were also present on the ocassion. The Mission Director Poshan J&K praised the efforts of Master trainers for teaching the significance of the training under the theme of ‘Poshan bhi Padhai bhi’ initiative as well as the importance of the nutrition in all the projects of Jammu division. He added that the department has made a paradigm shift from providing nutrition to imparting quality early childhood education under early childhood care and nutrition for holistic development of the children which is the objective of the training programme and said that the curriculum of ECCE under ‘Nanhe Kadam’ has now been devised into two modules of Nav Chetna to cater for mental and physical development of 0-3 Years children and Adhar Shila for 3-6 years to ensure holistic development of the children.
Vinod Kumar Benhal Joint Director Mission Poshan guided the Anganwadi workers to implement the learning about nutrition, development with all health parameters and early childhood education provided during the training in their Anganwadi Centers so that they become vibrant centers of learning. DPO Poshan Projects Jammu Pankaj Anand informed that this training programme under ‘Poshan bhi Padhai bhi’ has been conducted at all the projects of Jammu Division and has culminated at Poshan Project Dansal.
Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, CDPO Dansal extended his gratitude to everyone including the dignitaries, master trainers and the staff members for attending the program and assured that the directions will be implemented on the ground.
