JAMMU, May 4: Mini Bus Workers Union (MBWU), Railway Station route demanded construction of shed and waiting hall for drivers and conductors near Railway Station.
This was demanded by Raj Kumar, president, Mini Bus Workers Union (MBWU), Railway Station route during a meeting of the office bearers and members of the union.
He said that with the construction of the sheds and rest rooms, the drivers and conductors will be able to relax for some time.
Raj Kumar added that the Government has been earning huge revenue from transport industry, but it very unfortunate that it has not constructed any shed or waiting hall for transporters, who have to get their issues solved in Regional Transport Office (RTO) Jammu.
He demanded construction of sheds at RTO, so as to provide relief to the transporters from scorching heat and rainy season.
Among others present were Vishal Choudhary, Kulbir Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Rattan Lal, Palli Masih, Gasha Ram, etc.
