MBWU criticizes JMC for destroying mini-bus stand

JAMMU, June 8: Mini Bus Workers’ Union (MBWU), Jammu Province, today criticized Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for destroying mini-bus stand at Panjtirthi without giving any prior notice.
The issue was discussed during a meeting of the union held today here at its office chamber in Panjtirthi, Jammu. The union leaders demanded the Government to make more parking and terminal points of different routes for the smooth traffic system.
They urged the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to intervene into the matter and provide relief to the transporters. Alleging that due to increase in prices of petrol, diesel, other petroleum products the transporters are suffering badly, the union leaders appealed the State Government to increase passenger fare on all routes.
Finally, the union also decided to hold a seminar and invite Chief Minister as well as Transport Commissioner so that they can apprise them of their problems.
Jagater Singh, Choudhary Raj Kumar, Jatinder Khajuria, Vijay Singh Chib, Naresh Kumar, Razak Choudhary and many others attended the meeting.
