JAMMU, Apr 27: An MBBS student was found hanging in his hostel room here today.
A police official said that Falak Syed Khan (22) son of Mohammad Syed Khan of Mendhar had locked his room at the Boys Hostel of the Government Medical College Jammu from inside.
After several knocks, when his colleagues found that no one was opening the door, they called the police, who forced open the door and found Khan hanging with the ceiling fan in his room, he said.

He was accordingly shifted to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, the police official said.
Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the reasons as to why the MBBS student took such an extreme step to end his life.
