JAMMU, Nov 17: Maxx Lyfe Hospital & Trauma Centre, Bhatindi (Jammu) in association with Asian Hospital is going to start exclusive Joint Replacement OPD services for the first time in Jammu.
This was revealed by Dr Dushyant Choudhary, Medical Director, Maxx Lyfe Hospital, while addressing a press conference here today. He disclosed that the OPD will be conducted by Dr Rajiv Thukral, Associate Director, Orthopedics and Joint Replacement at Asian Institute of Medical Sciences.
Dr Dushyant further revealed that the OPD is going to start from tomorrow and will be conducted on first Sunday of every month at Maxx Lyfe Hospital, Sunjwan Road, Jammu. He said that Dr Thukral has more than 18 years of experience in Primary and Revision Arthoplasty, Sports Surgery and Complex Trauma. Dr Thukral did his MS from LTMMC Mumbai, DNB from NBE New Delhi and FCPs in ortho from CPS Mumbai.
Besides this, Dr Thukral is having fellowship in Primary and Revision Arthoplasty from UK, Germany and Italy, Fellowship in Shoulder and Knee Arthoplasty from Portugal and Fellowship in Tabular Trauma Surgery from USA.
“This type of OPD service will help all sorts of patients in J&K who are ailing from joints problems and are unable to get proper treatment while many patients from the State who have been operated outside the State will need no to go for the follow-up”, said Dr Dushyant.
Dr Rajiv Thukral said, “Arthritis & Osteoarthritis now a days is very common problem and at some stage patient need joint replacement which is very helpful. In Asian Hospital, Faridabad (which is 450 bedded Super Speciality Hospital fully equipped with latest machinery and NABH) we do all types of joints replacement surgeries”.
