BENGALURU, Apr 17: MATTER, India’s homegrown tech innovation pioneer, on Thursday launched its flagship electric motorbike, the AERA, marking a step in the country’s targeted move to an EV regime.
The launch follows the inauguration of MATTER’s state-of-the-art manufacturing hub and signals the company’s commitment to transforming urban mobility across India.
In a special introductory offer, the first 500 Bengalureans can own the AERA at a discounted price of 1.79 lakh, including a free lifetime battery warranty worth 15,000. The standard pre-registration showroom price starts at 1.88 lakh.
Describing Bengaluru as the ideal launchpad, MATTER Founder and Group CEO Mohal Lalbhai said, “There is no better city to lead this journey than Bengaluru, where innovation isn’t just an idea, it’s a way of life. The AERA isn’t just a bike, it’s the 22nd century motorbike.”
Powered by India’s first manufactured Hypershift manual gearbox, the AERA boasts a 4-speed manual transmission and 3 dynamic ride modes-Eco, City, and Sport-enabling 12 unique ride combinations.
MATTER will soon open its first Experience Hub in the city, where customers can test ride and interact with the AERA firsthand. Bookings are live and through the Experience Hub. Deliveries are expected to commence shortly.
Following its Bengaluru launch, MATTER plans a phased rollout across other major Indian cities. U(NI)
