KATRA, June 24: After remaining suspended for a day due to landslide near Hemkoti, Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra on new track was restored today even as chopper service remained shut for sixth consecutive day on Tuesday. Officials said that the yatra on new track was restored this morning after removal of landslide that had triggered yesterday due to heavy rains.
Even as the yatra was smoothly progressing from the old traditional route, the battery car service also remained suspended yesterday.
Meanwhile, the chopper service from Katra to Sanjhi Chhat remained suspended for the sixth consecutive day on Tuesday due to dense fog and bad weather. Officials said that the service will resume only after weather turns fair.
