SRINAGAR : A group of masked men made an abortive bid to loot cash from Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) of a nationalised bank in south Kashmir district of Anantnag, official sources said here today.
They said a group of men, wearing masks, entered ATM of SBI at Chowgam, Qazigund in south Kashmir.
The ATM machine was damaged badly, they said adding however, the culprits escaped without looting any cash, which was recorded in the CCTV placed there.
Police has registered a case and initiated investigation, they said.
