SAMBA, Sept 8: Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh and former Minister for Health and Medical Education J&K, organized a mega blood donation camp at Government Hospital Ramgarh to support the people affected by recent floods in Jammu region.
The camp witnessed active participation of officials, medical staff, and local volunteers. A large number of units of blood were donated to ensure timely assistance for flood-affected patients and to strengthen healthcare support in the district.
The event was graced by the presence of DDC Chairman, Keshav Dutt Sharma, DDC member and district president, Samba, Asha Rani, Tehsildar, Ramgarh, Abhimanyu Kalsotra, Chief Medical Officer, Samba, Dr. Vidhi Bhatial, BMO Ramgarh, Dr. Lakhwinder Singh, Department, Transfusion Medicine, GMC Bakshi Nagar, Jammu and Nancy Choudhary president Ramgarh.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said, “The recent floods have deeply impacted many families. It is our moral duty to come forward and extend all possible help. This blood donation camp is a small contribution towards ensuring that no patient in need suffers due to shortage of blood.”
The local administration and Health Department assured their continued efforts to provide medical relief and support to the flood-affected areas.
Meanwhile Dr Manyal, organized a Job Mela at the MLA Office Ramgarh, aimed at creating employment opportunities for women of the Ramgarh constituency.
The initiative was focused on promoting women empowerment, skill utilization, and financial independence by connecting women with local industries.
Human resource representatives and staff members from various local industries participated in the camp, where they interacted with women candidates and provided detailed information about available job openings across multiple sectors.
On this occasion, Sanam Jasrotia addressed the participants and highlighted the scope of employment for women in local industries, encouraging them to actively pursue these opportunities.
Dr. Manyal, while interacting with the women, appreciated their enthusiastic participation and reaffirmed his commitment to continue such initiatives in the future. He emphasized that empowering women through sustainable employment will not only strengthen families but also contribute significantly to the local economy.
