SAMBA, July 12: To listen the grievances and concerns of local residents, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh, conducted a public darbar at his Ramgarh office today.
The initiative witnessed active public participation, reflecting the growing trust in democratic outreach and grassroots engagement.
Present during the darbar was Amit Choudhary, Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee Ramgarh. Officials addressed various public concerns related to civic amenities, revenue matters, and ongoing development works. Dr. Manyal assured attendees that all genuine issues raised would be resolved in a time-bound manner. He further emphasized the importance of regular interaction between the administration and the public to ensure transparency and effective governance.
The darbar concluded with positive feedback from citizens, who appreciated the MLA’s continued efforts in bringing governance closer to the people and responding proactively to their needs.
Development plans of the Municipal Committee Ramgarh were also discussed in detail, with special attention given to improving basic civic infrastructure, including the construction and repair of lanes and drains in various localities.
Residents highlighted the urgent need to address damaged drainage systems and poorly maintained lanes that have caused inconvenience, particularly during the monsoon season. Dr. Manyal took note of these concerns and directed the Executive Officer to prioritize such works under upcoming development schemes. The discussion underscored the importance of coordination between public representatives and municipal authorities to ensure timely and effective execution of projects.
Prominent attendees included Mandal Pradhan Ramgarh, Nancy Choudhary, former Sarpanch, Prem Paul, Tilak Thappa, Sandeep Gupta, Karan, and Satish Sharma, who contributed valuable suggestions to enhance civic services and improve the standard of living in the area.
Following the darbar, Dr. Manyal instructed Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Ramgarh, Amit Choudhary, to carry out a comprehensive visit to all 13 wards. The purpose of this direction is to assess the current ground realities, identify pressing civic issues, and initiate prompt action to address them. The move reflects a commitment to responsive governance and timely delivery of public services.
