JAMMU, Apr 30: Police today recovered the body of a 60-year-old individual hanging from a tree in Arnia town here.
Some passerby spotted the body of one Sikandar Kumar son of Sain Dass of Rathana, Arnia, who was suffering from some mental ailment, hanging from a tree near his home, a police official said.
Soon after they reported the matter to police, a team reached at the spot and brought the body down and later sent it to a hospital for post-mortem, he said.
According to the police official, inquest proceedings have been initiated to further probe into the matter.
